Healthcare system
According to Actis’s report«Societal costs of alcohol use»Alcohol use and abuse cost Norwegian society between 80 and 100 billion kroner per year.
As a healthcare professional, you often encounter people struggling with alcohol. Addiction is a complex condition – no single solution fits everyone.
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a fellowship of people who help each other to live a life without alcohol. We do not offer treatment; AA is a fellowship with a programme of action for those seeking help where alcohol has become a problem.
AA is also a good waiting room before treatment and excellent aftercare after treatment.
About us
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership. We are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, political, organisation or institution. AA neither advocates nor opposes any cause. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
Er AA religiøst?
No, AA is not religious, but AA's 12 steps to recovery are based on spiritual principles in the sense that they focus on inner change and personal growth, rather than on religious dogmas or medical treatment.
