Closed AA Meetings
Most meetings are closed. Closed meetings are for those who have an
alcohol problem and have a desire to stop drinking. It is perfectly fine to just listen at
an AA meeting — there is no requirement to speak.

open AA meeting is for anyone who wants to learn more about how AA works.
Information Meetings
Information meetings are held at schools,
workplaces, treatment institutions, and in healthcare services, where AA members
share information about AA.
