Mange som kommer i kontakt med politi, domstoler eller kriminalomsorg sliter med alkohol. Enten det gjelder promillekjøring, vold, ordensforstyrrelser eller omsorgssvikt, er alkohol ofte en del av bildet.
Anonyme Alkoholikere (AA) er et frivillig, ikke-kommersielt fellesskap for mennesker som ønsker å slutte å drikke. Vi tilbyr ikke behandling eller rapportering – men mange har funnet en ny vei i livet gjennom AA.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
Den eneste betingelse for medlemskap er et ønske om å slutte å drikke.
Det er ingen avgifter eller kontingenter for AA-medlemskap.
Vi er selvhjulpne gjennom våre egne bidrag.
AA er ikke knyttet til noen sekt, trossamfunn, politisk parti,
organisasjon eller institusjon.
AA ønsker ikke å ta stilling i noe stridsspørsmål, verken støtter eller
motarbeider noen sak.
Vårt fremste formål er å holde oss edru og hjelpe andre alkoholikere
til edruskap.
Er AA religiøst?
No, AA is not religious, but AA's 12 steps to recovery are based on spiritual principles in the sense that they focus on inner change and personal growth, rather than on religious dogmas or medical treatment.
What not to do at AA
- Does not keep membership lists or any other form of archive
- Does not participate in or contribute to alcohol research
- Does not affiliate with any other outside enterprises, although AA members, groups, or the General Service Office may cooperate with them
- Does not follow up or check on its members
- Does not interfere in medical or psychiatric matters
- Does not provide nursing services, places in detoxification clinics or treatment facilities
- Does not provide housing, food, clothing, employment, money or any other form of welfare or social services
